Photo District News (PDN) is an industry standard and focuses on cutting edge photographers, technology, and industry news. They featured Matt on their website sharing his work and some stories of working as a night photographer in the water with sharks and other nocturnal creatures from his project at Stiltsville. Unknown to many outside of the Miami waterfront Community, Stiltsville is a much loved local treasure. Originally a series of shanty shacks that were sunk in the middle of Biscayne Bay in the early 1910's this small community grew to a series of 27 houses at its peak before Hurricane Donna destroyed many of the houses. Hurricane Andrew also took a swipe at Stiltsville and there are only 7 houses remaining today. Matt worked with Biscayne National Park as well as other organizations to help raise awareness about this historic and architectural treasure.
